About the Bagini Glacier Trek:
Here comes an eight-day Bagini Glacier trek with so much enthusiasm hidden in each day of your adventure. It starts from Joshimath and from there you will directly go to Jumma and Ruing Village. The meandering paths going up and down through a forest will take you to enjoy the magnificent beauty of Hathi Parvat, Ghori Parvat and Bhumial God Temple. Dronagiri Village with many ruins and inhabited will be a surprise.
Bagini Base Camp is the next stop on your Bagini Glacier trek resuming from Dronagiri Village which will open up many wonderful sights of the peaks, the meadows and the landscapes. Rishi Peak is the highly acclaimed peak you can witness on the way to the base camp. A concrete bridge over the Bagini Nala and the unwinding routes going through the rocks and boulder ridden path can be the perfect supporters of you. Longatulli is also a halt where you will be awe-struck with the amazing Satminal, Hardeul and Rishi Pahar views.

Day 1 – Transfer from Haridwar Joshimath (250 kms)

Day 2 – Joshimath – Jumma – Ruing Village (9, 180 ft) (Drive 1 hr)

Day 3 – 8 kms Trek, Hathi Parvat, Ghori Parvat, Bhumial God temple
This day, ramble on a trail that is similar to the previous day. Enjoy a meandering path that goes up and down. The road also goes through a forest.
Along the way, feast your eyes on dreamy and snow-capped peaks of Hathi Parvat and Ghori Parvat. Reach the intriguing Dronagiri Village, in ruins and inhabited. You can pitch your tent at the outskirts of the village that is illuminated due to solar lights. If you choose, you can visit the Bhumial God temple close by. Witness the views of Bhumial God temple.

Day 4 – Dronagiri Village – Bagini Base camp (14, 711 ft) via Longatulli
Day 4 opens up many thrills with meandering pass, sight of Rishi peak, crossing a concrete bridge over the Bagini Nala, through rock and boulder ridden path. Stop for a bit at a grassy patch with a crystal clear stream passing by.
Next halt is at Longatulli camping ground, a 3 hours hike from Bagini lower camp site. Get refreshed with the views of mesmerising peaks such as Satminal, Hardeul and Rishi pahar. You can camp overnight either at the Bagini main base camp (further up the mountains) or Advanced Bagini base camp that has an unmarked trail leading up to it.

Day 5 – Base camp – Bagini Glacier (14, 814 ft) – Back to Base camp
Day Highlights: 14km trek, Glacier drifts, Moraines, Ravines
Day Details: Today, brace yourself for a challenging Bagini Glacier trekking and Changbang trek. Wake up in wee hours of the morning to be better prepared and witness the stunning sunrise at the Changbang camp site.
Along the way, come across glacier drifts, moraines and ravines. Once you reach the Bagini Glacier, cuddled between stunning peaks, let yourself be enchanted by the divine vision. Go trigger happy and set off to Changbang, the final destination. Head back to Bagini base camp by following the same route.

Day 6 – Base camp -Ruing Village
A lighter day, follow the same route you took to reach the base camp. Descend for around 18 kms through Longatulli to reach Dronagiri Village and later Ruing Village. Set camp for the night at Ruing Village.

Day 7 – Ruing Village – Jumma – Joshimath
Take a descent of three hours to Jumma Village. From here you will be driven to Joshimath. It’s time to relax and recover from the trek. Night can be spent at one of the guest houses.

Day 8 – Transfer from Joshimath to Haridwar
You can take an early transport to Haridwar. If you wish, you can experience the charming town of Joshimath for a bit. This will mark the end of Bagini Glacier trek journey.

- Back pack of 60 ltr -70ltr. They should come with comfortable shoulder straps, frame, and back pack cover.
- Waterproof trekking shoes that are high ankle and have a good grip
- 2 synthetic /waterproof Track Pants, T-shirts – 3 full sleeve
- 1 Fleece jacket would be ideal; a woollen sweater would be an alternative
- 1 Wind proof jacket, 1 Heavy jacket, Thermal Inners
- 2 pairs cotton socks, 2 pairs woollen socks, 2 pair water proof hand gloves
- Woollen cap/ Balaclava
- Sun Cap, Sun protection cream, Sun glasses – Dark with side cover, it should be U/V protected
- Head Torch with extra batteries
- 2 Water bottle- one litre each
