The trek starts and ends at Dhak village which is some kilometers away from the base camp “Joshimath market”. The Pangarchulla Peak trek is a popular and challenging trek located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. The trek offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, beautiful meadows, and dense forests.

Day 1: Rishikesh → Joshimath
Day 2: Joshimath → Dhak → Trek to Gulling
Day 3: Gulling → Khullara
Day 4: Khullara → Pangarchulla Summit → Return to Khullara
Day 5: Khullara → Dhak → Joshimath
Day 6: Joshimath → Rishikesh

Day 1: Rishikesh to Joshimath (Drive – 250 km / 9–10 hrs)

Drive along the Alaknanda River through Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag. Reach Joshimath by evening.


Day 2: Joshimath to Dhak → Trek to Gulling (6 km)

Drive to Dhak Village and begin your trek. The trail passes through terraced fields and forest sections. Reach Gulling campsite surrounded by oak trees.


Day 3: Gulling to Khullara (5 km)

Gradual ascent through dense forests of oak and rhododendron. Open meadows begin to appear. Khullara offers stunning Himalayan views.


Day 4: Khullara → Pangarchulla Summit → Back (12–14 km)

  • Early morning summit push
  • Steep climb with snow sections (in season)
  • Final ridge climb is challenging and thrilling
  • Reach summit and enjoy 360° Himalayan views
  • Descend carefully back to Khullara

Day 5: Khullara → Dhak → Joshimath

Descend through forests to Dhak and drive back to Joshimath.

Day 6: Joshimath to Rishikesh

Drive back, marking the end of your adventure.
