Roopkund is a lake at an altitude of 16,156 feet in Uttarakhand, it is also known as “Mystery Lake” Roopkund Trek is a picturesque tourist destination that is one of the important places for trekking in the Chamoli district, Uttarakhand Himalayas. This is one of the special treks in the world today, Located within cavernous virgin forests, unending beautiful meadows, and magnificent campsites, this trek is a must-do for every trekker.

Day 6: Shilla Samudra → Dodang (Trek)

Day 7: Dodang → Homkund → Ronti Saddle → Morain Camp 1 (Trek)

Day 8: Morain Camp 1 → Morain Camp 2 (Trek)

Day 9: Morain Camp 2 → Cave Camp (Trek)

Day 10: Cave Camp → Bhavishya Badri → Subhai → Joshimath (Trek + Drive)

Day 11: Joshimath → Rishikesh (Drive)

Day 2: Wan → Ali Bugyal (3534 m) | 10 km trek

Day 3: Ali Bugyal → Bedni Bugyal → Patar Nachauni (3969 m) | 8 km

Day 5: Baghuabasa → Roopkund → Juragali Pass → Shilla Samudra | 12 km

  • Visit Roopkund Lake (4800 m)
  • Climb to Juragali Pass (5000 m)
  • Steep descent (~1500 m) to Shilla Samudra
    • Base of Mt. Trishul

     Phase 2 (6 Days): Ronti Saddle Expedition

    Day 6: Shilla Samudra → Dodang (4489 m) | 8 km

    • Trek along Nanakini River
    • Camp between large boulders

    Day 7: Dodang → Homkund → Ronti Saddle → Morain Camp 1 | 16 km

    • Visit sacred Homkund
    • Steep ascent to Ronti Saddle (5430 m)
    • Stunning views of Trishul & Nanda Ghunti
    • Descend via glacier to camp

    Day 8: Morain Camp 1 → Morain Camp 2 (4500 m)

    • Descend through moraine and grasslands
    • 4–5 hours trek

    Day 9: Morain Camp 2 → Cave Camp (4160 m)

    • Enter greener valley terrain
    • Tree line reappears

    Day 10: Cave Camp → Bhavishya Badri → Subhai → Joshimath

    • Visit Bhavishya Badri Temple
    • Trek to Subhai village
    • Drive to Joshimath
    • Hotel stay

    Day 11: Joshimath → Rishikesh (247 km drive)

    • Return journey
